Ingredients (For serving 20 Brigadeiros)
Sweetened
Condensed Milk………………………………400 gm
Unsalted
butter……………………………………………. 15 gm
Cocoa
Powder……………………………………………...30 gm
Chocolate
Vermicelli…………………………………….....80 gm
Mint
Vermicelli…………………………………………….80 gm

Pre-cooking
a)
Precautions
§ Use an apron and
a toque while cooking.
§ Use insulated
gloves.
§ Cook the food on
low heat.
b)
Tips
§ Use non-sticky
pan to avoid burning of condensed milk.
§ Use measuring
instruments to add proper proportion of the ingredients.
§ Add grated
butter to soften the mixture quickly.
Procedure
1)
Combine
the condensed milk, butter and cocoa powder in a medium heavy based saucepan.
2)
Begin
to boil over medium heat.
3)
Reduce
the heat to low and cook, stir constantly with a wooden spoon for 8-10
minutes until the mixture is creamy and thick.
4)
Pour
the mixture in a bowl and leave it to cool (Room Temperature 37°C.).
5)
Cover
it and refrigerate for at least 2 hrs.

6)
Scoop
the mixture by the teaspoonful, using your hand roll in little balls of
approximately 2 cm in diameter.
7) Place the chocolate vermicelli/ Mint vermicelli on a plate and pass the Brigadeiro 4-6 times through the vermicelli in such a way that they stick to the surface.
8)
Your
Brazilian dessert is now ready to be eaten.
Storing

§ Can be stored up
to 3 days in cool and dry conditions

airtight container.
